This policy explains what personal information Ocera Jewelry collects when you visit myocera.com, buy from us, book a consultation or contact us, and what we do with it.

Who we are

Ocera Jewelry ("Ocera", "we", "us") is operated by Ocera LLC, 6075 Barfield Rd, Sandy Springs, GA 30328. This policy covers myocera.com, our checkout, our emails, and the consultation, service and contact forms on the site. Questions about it go to bespoke@myocera.com.

Information we collect

We collect what you give us, what your device sends when you browse, and what our partners pass to us about your order.

  • When you order: your name, email, phone number, shipping and billing addresses, the pieces you buy and your order history.
  • When you pay: payments are handled by our payment providers. We see the card type and last four digits, never your full card number.
  • When you create an account: your email, password, saved addresses and past orders.
  • When you book or ask us something: what you enter in our consultation, service and contact forms, such as your name, email, phone, the piece or service you are asking about, your budget, your timeline, and a preferred date and time.
  • When you sign up for emails: your email address.
  • When you browse: your IP address, approximate location, device and browser type, the pages you view, the site that sent you to us, and how you use the site. This comes from cookies and similar tools (see Cookies, analytics and advertising).
  • From others: payment and fraud-prevention providers, shipping carriers with delivery updates, and advertising or social platforms when you interact with our ads or posts.

We do not ask for sensitive information such as government ID numbers, health information or precise location.

How we use information

We use your information to make, ship and look after your pieces, and to run the business.

  • Process, ship and track your orders, and send order and delivery updates.
  • Arrange consultations and showroom visits, and answer your requests.
  • Provide Ocera Care, resizing and claims under the Ocera Limited Warranty, using your order records.
  • Manage your account.
  • Send marketing emails if you signed up for them. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
  • Understand how the site is used, fix problems and improve it.
  • Measure our advertising and show you relevant ads (see Cookies, analytics and advertising).
  • Prevent fraud, protect our customers and the business, and meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

How we share information

We share personal information only with the companies that help us run the store, and only what they need to do that work. We do not sell your personal information for money.

  • Shopify, which hosts our site, checkout and customer accounts. Shopify's own privacy policy is at shopify.com/legal/privacy.
  • Payment providers, to take payment and check for fraud.
  • Our manufacturing and fulfillment team, to make, prepare and ship your order.
  • Shipping carriers and shipping insurers, to deliver and insure your order and pieces sent in for service.
  • Email and customer service tools, to send order updates, marketing you signed up for, and replies to your requests.
  • Analytics and advertising partners, as described under Cookies, analytics and advertising.
  • Professional advisers, such as accountants, lawyers and insurers, where needed.
  • Authorities, when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our customers or the public.
  • A buyer or successor, if Ocera is sold, merged or reorganized, under the same protections.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We use three kinds.

  • Necessary: set by Shopify so your bag, checkout and account work. The site cannot run without them.
  • Analytics: tell us which pages people visit and how they move through the site, so we can improve it.
  • Advertising: pixels from advertising partners such as Meta and Google measure whether our ads work and help show our ads to people likely to be interested. Under some state laws this counts as "sharing" personal information or "targeted advertising", and you can opt out (see Your choices and rights).

The site also loads fonts from Google, which receives your IP address when a page loads.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies will stop the bag and checkout from working. We honor the Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out of sharing and targeted advertising.

Your choices and rights

You can see, correct or delete your information, and opt out of marketing and targeted advertising, by emailing bespoke@myocera.com.

  • Marketing emails: use the unsubscribe link in any email. We will still send messages about your orders.
  • Your account: sign in to update your details and addresses.
  • Opting out of sharing and targeted advertising: use the Your privacy choices link at the foot of the site, turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser, or email us.

Depending on the state you live in (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Oregon, Texas, Utah and Virginia), you may also have the right to:

  • know what personal information we hold about you and receive a copy;
  • correct information that is wrong;
  • ask us to delete it;
  • opt out of its sale, sharing for targeted advertising, or profiling.

To make a request, email bespoke@myocera.com with the subject "Privacy request". We will confirm your identity using details from your orders or account, and reply within 45 days. An authorized agent can make a request for you with your signed permission. If we decline a request, you can appeal by replying to our decision. We will never charge you more or treat you differently for using these rights.

California residents can also ask, once a year, for a list of the third parties we disclosed personal information to for their own direct marketing. We do not make such disclosures.

Keeping your information

We keep order, warranty and service records for as long as you own the piece and may send it back to us for care, and as long as tax and accounting law requires. Consultation and contact requests that do not lead to an order are kept only as long as we need them to follow up. Email subscribers stay on our list until they unsubscribe.

Security

We use Shopify's secure, encrypted checkout and limit who on our team can see customer information. No system is completely secure, so please keep your account password private.

Children

The site is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think someone under 18 has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.

Where we operate

Ocera sells and ships to US addresses only, and your information is stored and processed in the United States.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell customers by email or with a notice on the site.
